Meet the Counselor
Charla Adams is the owner and director of Brugmansia Counseling Group. Charla strongly believes in providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for her clients in order for clients to trust the therapeutic process and begin to regain focus, plan, problem solve, and get in touch with their true self.
Charla's counseling approach is client centered. She utilizes a creative approach combining both traditional talk therapy and experiential activities. She believes therapy is a collaborative experience and she is dedicated to assisting her client’s find their own solutions and achieve their goals. Furthermore, as a licensed Michigan attorney, Charla is able to understand and provide resources to her clients facing legal challenges.
Charla is a proud wife and mother. As a mother of a blended family, Charla has found working with issues related to divorce and second families to be rewarding. Additionally, she is a Christian and is comfortable and capable of engaging with and exploring clients' expressed needs with regard to faith, including prayer. Nevertheless, if issues of faith are not an aspect of your
counseling needs, that is fine as well.
Charla recently received a CMHIMP designation. CMHIMP is Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider. She has also achieved Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) status
